A little information about our beloved St. Nicholas. He lived in Asia Minor (in what is now Turkey) and inherited great wealth when his parents died. He was also a holy man who used that money to help others. His willingness to give inspired many people. They wanted him to become the bishop of Myra, and so he did. The stories about Bishop Nicholas’ generosity to the poor and his love of children have become legendary. His feast day is December 6.
